- Ask your child to paint their hands and make two handprints on the white card
- Leave to dry
- On a long strip of white card, write ‘this much’ (Jacob did this himself) – leave a space at each end (I folded the card)
- Cut out the handprints, stick on to black card and cut out again
- Cut out some small bits of card and write ‘I love you . . . . ‘ on one and ‘Love from …… ‘ on the other
- Stick them to the handprints
- Fold the long piece of card (with ‘this much’ written on it) into a concertina
- Attach each end to the handprints using glue
- When dry, fold up so that one handprint is at the front, the other at the back
- Place in an envelope so that it will spring open to read ‘I love you …. this much …. Love from …..’
- We also wrote a message on the back of the handprints as it was for Father’s Day
