Ask your child to paint their hands and make two handprints on the white card
Leave to dry
On a long strip of white card, write ‘this much’ (Jacob did this himself) – leave a space at each end (I folded the card)
Cut out the handprints, stick on to black card and cut out again
Cut out some small bits of card and write ‘I love you . . . . ‘ on one and ‘Love from …… ‘ on the other
Stick them to the handprints
Fold the long piece of card (with ‘this much’ written on it) into a concertina
Attach each end to the handprints using glue
When dry, fold up so that one handprint is at the front, the other at the back
Place in an envelope so that it will spring open to read ‘I love you …. this much …. Love from …..’
We also wrote a message on the back of the handprints as it was for Father’s Day
